ABOUT THE TRIANGLE PRIDE PAC

Triangle Pride PAC Exists to use electoral politics to overcome homophobia and transphobia.

• We support the civil rights of all people - especially those who suffer discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
• We are independent of all political parties, candidates, and community organizations.
• We endorse ballot questions and candidates of any party for public office, and we campaign for them.
• In screening candidates, we consider sexual orientation & gender identity issues first. Issues of gender and race come next.
• We raise money and activate people to volunteer in campaigns.
• We are working for liberty and justice for all.

Our History

Michigan Organization for Human Rights (MOHR) had a political action committee (MOHR-PAC). MOHR-PAC became independent in 1985 under the name Michigan Human Rights Campaign Committee (MHRCC). In 1995, the name was changed to Michigan Pride PAC. In 2004, we joined forces with the Triangle Action Fund to form Triangle Pride PAC.

What is Pride PAC?

Pride PAC is a statewide registered political action committee of Michigan's GLBT community.

What We Do

We endorse candidates for President and Congress, for Governor and State Legislature, and for Judges all over Michigan. We also evaluate some Council and Mayoral races. We give money, donated by you, to some selected candidates. In every election year since 1986, we have distributed our slate of endorsed candidates throughout the state. Candidates are endorsed based on their track records and positions on issues important the gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders.
